Stories, Truth, and Transformation in the Making

Writing is an ongoing journey of discovery, creativity, and revelation. Some books begin with an idea I’ve been developing for years. Others emerge unexpectedly through personal experiences, studying Scripture, or something God places on my heart.

I have several projects in development, including two distinct book series and additional nonfiction titles.

Each project offers a different opportunity to explore biblical truth, identity, spiritual growth, relationships, storytelling, and the experiences that shape our lives.

All titles listed below are works in progress. Book descriptions, cover designs, and publication plans may evolve as the writing and development processes continue.

The Identity Ladder Series

A Four-Book Series in Development

From Counterfeit Identity to Living the Commission

Who determines who you are?

The Identity Ladder Series explores one of life’s most foundational questions: Where does our identity come from, and who has the authority to define it?

Rooted in biblical truth, this four-book series examines the counterfeit sources of identity that people build their lives upon and the journey of awakening, receiving identity in Christ, being transformed into His likeness, and living out the commission He has given us.

The books follow the four stages of the Identity Ladder Framework, helping readers understand that identity is not something we construct through achievements, experiences, relationships, or personal performance. Our true identity comes from God and is established in Jesus Christ.

The Four Planned Books

Book One: Awakening to the Counterfeit Life
Choosing the Source of Your Identity

The journey begins by questioning the foundations upon which we have built our identities. This book explores the counterfeit sources of identity, how they shape our thinking and choices, and why recognizing the source of our identity is essential to discovering the truth of who we are.

Book Two: Leaving the Counterfeit Life
Receiving Adoption Into the Kingdom

Awakening to a counterfeit is only the beginning. This book explores what it means to leave behind a false source of identity, receive salvation through Jesus Christ, become a child of God, and enter His Kingdom as an adopted son or daughter.

Book Three: Rejecting the Counterfeit Life
Being Transformed into the Image of Christ

Receiving a new identity is not the end of transformation. This book examines the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit as believers renew their minds, reject former patterns of thinking and living, and grow in the character and likeness of Jesus Christ.

Book Four: Destroying the Counterfeit Life
Living the Commission

Identity is meant to govern how we live. The final book explores what it means to live as a transformed child of God, exercising the authority entrusted to believers, advancing His Kingdom, and fulfilling the commission Jesus gave His followers.

Series Status: In Development — Four Planned Titles

The Identity Ladder is more than a book series. It is a broader biblical framework for understanding identity, its true source, and how living from our identity in Christ transforms everything that follows.

The Ava and Josh Series

A Faith-Forward Fiction Series in Development

Faith. Romance. Adventure. The Unexpected Turns of Life.

What happens when carefully made plans collide with unexpected circumstances, and God begins working in ways no one anticipated?

The Ava & Josh Series follows two accomplished military professionals whose lives intersect at a time when both are navigating questions of faith, purpose, identity, and the direction of their futures.

Set against international backdrops and shaped by the realities of military service, the series brings together faith, romance, adventure, compelling characters, and the challenges of following God in the middle of real life.

Through Ava and Josh’s unfolding stories, readers will encounter characters whose experiences challenge what they believe, confront what they have been carrying, and invite them to consider what it means to trust God beyond their own plans.

Book One: The Hijacked Holiday

The First Ava & Josh Adventure

Marine Gunnery Sergeant Ava Shaw has planned a holiday in the beautiful Midi-Pyrénées region of southern France. More than a vacation, the journey is an opportunity to spend time alone with God, reflect on her future, and seek clarity about a significant career decision.

But her carefully planned time away takes an unexpected turn when Josh Bailey, a Navy SEAL she barely knows, enters the picture.

What begins as a scenic journey through historic French villages becomes an adventure neither expected, drawing them into unfamiliar circumstances and a connection that challenges their assumptions.

As their paths intertwine, questions of faith, trust, purpose, and God’s direction begin to take on greater significance.

The Hijacked Holiday is the first installment in a planned continuing series following Ava and Josh beyond their initial adventure.

Additional Books in the Series

Further installments are in development, continuing Ava and Josh’s journey through new challenges, evolving relationships, international settings, and opportunities for spiritual growth.

The broader series is currently envisioned to include at least four books. Titles and individual story descriptions for subsequent installments will be announced as the manuscripts take shape.

Series Status: In Development — Book One and Continuing Stories Planned

Additional Books in Development

Beyond the two series, I am developing standalone nonfiction books that explore important aspects of living a life of faith, growing in spiritual maturity, and communicating what God has done in our lives.

Testimonies That Transform

Working Title — Nonfiction

Every believer has a testimony, but not every story we tell is necessarily a testimony.

What distinguishes a personal story from a testimony? How do we recognize what God has done, understand its significance, and communicate it in a way that glorifies Him?

Testimonies That Transform is a planned practical guide to understanding, developing, and sharing testimonies with clarity, purpose, and boldness.

Drawing upon personal storytelling principles and biblical truth, the book will explore how to recognize God’s work in our lives, identify the testimony appropriate for the moment, and share it in ways that point others to Jesus Christ.

Because the purpose of a testimony is not simply to tell people what happened to us.

It is to reveal what God has done.

A Book on Navigating Transitions

Title to Be Announced — Nonfiction

How do we recognize when God is initiating a transition in our lives?

What happens when we sense that change is coming, but do not yet have clear instructions about what to do next?

This planned book will explore the biblical principles of recognizing, discerning, preparing for, and navigating transitions as we follow God’s leading.

Drawing from Scripture, including Joshua’s journey into the Promised Land, it will examine the relationship between spiritual stirring, seeking God, preparation, confirmation, obedience, and the courage required to move forward when He directs us.

The book will also explore how believers can actively participate with God without attempting to move ahead of Him—recognizing that a stirring may be an invitation to seek Him rather than immediate permission to act.

The goal is not to create a formula for predicting God’s timing, but to develop a biblical framework for discerning His leading and faithfully responding in seasons of change.
